<p>Dawn Anslem resides in Berwick with her husband, Earl and their son, Peyton. Dawn attended Nicholls State University and is an Administrative Assistance to Judge Anthony Thibodeaux. She has been a member of DSAA since 2005 and joined the board in 2011, serving at different times as board member, Buddy Walk team coordinator, Developmental Committee member, Social Coordinator, and Vice President. When time allows, she enjoys camping and fishing with her family and completing word search puzzles with Peyton.</p>
Vice President/New Parent Support
<p>Trisha Darbonne has been a board member since DSAA was founded in 2003. She currently is the Vice President of DSAA; serves on the executive committee, and as the New Parent Coordinator. Trisha has two sons, Braden Darbonne who is 11 and has Down syndrome and Kade Darbonne who is 7 and absolutely loves helping and playing with his big brother Braden when he is not busy playing soccer or baseball. She is a Respiratory Therapist who has 17 years of experience working at Lafayette General Medical Center. To her advantage she gets to engage with many new parents working in the NICU at LGMC, working on the transport team, as well as direct patient care in all areas of the hospital. Trisha has had the privilege of meeting many of our new families through her career and as always enjoyed every story she hears years down the road from parents' experiences with the birth of their precious babies and how they became part of DSAA. She looks forward to serving her community through DSAA and hopes to touch many more lives through her son Braden. <em> "God Bless each and every family who is as blessed as I am with being a mother to a child with Down syndrome."- </em>Trisha</p>
Mandy Dalton lives in Lafayette. Her brother, Eric, was born with Down syndrome. Mandy earned a Bachelor of Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University Health & Center. She is currently working for Thibodeaux, Albro, & Touchet Therapy Group in Jennings. Mandy has been active behind the scenes with DSAA since the beginning in 2004 while assisting her mother, Anita Ford, the DSAA Founder. Mandy recently joined the board in 2013. She enjoys reading books, working on art projects, and visiting family when time allows.
Laura Roy joined the Board and serves as Social Coordinator. She is a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She lives in Lafayette with her husband. She is active in community service and has volunteered with the Miles Perret Center and committee chaired fundraiser events for The Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum. She currently teaches Catechism at St. Cecilia School, is a Eucharist Minister and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Diner. Laura’s nephew, Abel, was born with Down syndrome. She embraces the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.
Public Relations Coordinator
Molly Guidry lives in Lafayette with her husband, Walter, and daughter, Ellie Grace. She works at UL Lafayette and has been on the board since 2007 serving as Media Coordinator. Molly enjoys baking with her #1 assistant, Ellie Grace. In Molly's spare time she enjoys life and spending time learning with Ellie Grace.
Celine Robin lives in Broussard with her husband Richard and her children Lucas, Kathryn, Wyatt, Reed, and Abel. She received her BSN from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and now is a RN at Our Lady of Lourdes and owns her own education company. She has been on the DSAA board since 2012 and is currently the Developmental Coordinator. Her hobbies include Boy Scouts with her children, cooking, rescuing vintage furniture, and reading.
